Butler Bags is once again sponsoring the 2010 Best of the West Elk-Calling Contest hosted by Chad Schearer, World Champion Elk Caller and host of Shoot Straight TV. The contest is held at the International Sportsmen’s Expos in Denver, Sacramento, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City with the championship title awarded in Salt Lake City. |

"This is a fun event that is growing every year and the level of competition is phenomenal" said Schearer. "I’m constantly amazed at the ability of the kids in the Pee Wee and Youth division", he continued.The competition in the Adult division was extremely close this year as only one point separated each caller from 1st place to 5th place. The energy with the event kept the theater filled with a standing-room-only crowd for the full 90-minute event. Jonathan Curtis, president of Butler Bags, was on hand to award the winners of the open class Best of the West division. "The sound a bugling bull makes is simply awesome and listening to the contestants doing their best to "speak elk" is remarkable. I’m certain the winners will put our sleeping bags to good use."
